Readers submit their favorite movie lines

Ask and you shall receive. In my previous posting I presented my favorite movie lines and asked if any of my readers had any they'd like to share. Here are the great responses I got:

Reader Trisha S. shares with us several of her favorite quotes:

"Oh no, Mrs. Robinson. I think you're the most attractive of all my parents' friends. I mean that."
- Dustin Hoffman as Benjamin Braddock in The Graduate

"Give me the strength to be what I was, and forgive me for what I am."
- Antonio Banderas as El Mariachi in Desperado

“I love the smell of napalm in the morning.”
- Robert Duvall as Lt. Col. Bill Kilgore in Apocalypse Now

“That was the most fun I've ever had without laughing.”
- Woody Allen as a post-coital Alvy Singer in Annie Hall

Pam V. submitted these:

"All I need is my dog... {dog growls}... Well, I don't need my dog."
- Steve Martin as Navin R. Johnson in The Jerk

"Was it a dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid, with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you? ... Why, am I the only one who has that dream?”
- Val Kilmer as Chris Knight in Real Genius

"Two dollars!"
- Demian Slade as paperboy Johnny Gasparini in Better Off Dead

Traci H. offers these:

“I guess you've just gotta find something you love to do and then do it for the rest of your life. For me, it's going to Rushmore.”
- Jason Schwartzman as Max Fisher in Rushmore

“Where does he get those wonderful toys?”
- Jack Nicholson as The Joker in Batman

“Okay, then, we’ll hot-wire a car...and this idea I do not back down from.”
- Owen Wilson as Dignan in Bottle Rocket

Tony S. writes in with this one:

“Do or do not. There is no try.”
- Frank Oz as Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back

...which reminded me of my favorite Yoda quote from Empire after Luke says he's not afraid: “You will be.”

Lastly, the Masked Movie Snobs' own Mil Peliculas shares this favorite line of his:

“Me and Dot went in to adopt on account of somethin' went wrong with my semen, and they said we had to wait five years for a healthy white baby. I said, ‘Healthy white baby? Five years? What else you got?’ Said they got two Koreans and a negro born with his heart on the outside.”
- Sam McMurray as Glen in Raising Arizona

Keep 'em comin' folks! Keep e-mailing me your favorite movie lines and I'll keep postin' 'em.
